Individuals strikes: AP2 analyst leaves to launch personal sustainability consultancy | Information

AP2Christina Olivecrona leaves AP2 after more than 11 years to set up our own sustainability consultancy, Olivecrona Sustainability AB.

As Senior Sustainability Analyst at the Swedish buffer fund, Olivecrona was responsible for initiating, developing and implementing sustainability in all investment processes across all asset classes.

She was a member of AP2’s corporate governance team and AP Funds Ethical Council, which focused on working with global companies.

While at AP2, Olivecrona also served on the board of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) and the PRI Advisory Committee on Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2019, when asked about her desire to invest responsibly, Olivecrona complained that a global carbon tax was still a long way off as it would “create tremendous momentum for the transition to a low-carbon economy”.

GAM investmentsMary Murphy was at for the newly created position of Head of Global Consultant Relations GAM investments. Murphy will report to Jill Barber, Global Head of Institutional Solutions, and will be responsible for building strategic relationships with global and UK local advisors spanning the full spectrum of the company’s investment capabilities as GAM seeks to grow its business through this channel.

Murphy is coming from BlackRock where she was responsible for leading some of BlackRock’s largest strategic investment advisory relationships. Previously, she was Client Director of UK Institutional Business at GAM until 2016 and has held several positions with other wealth management firms during her 15 year career in the industry.

In addition, the company strengthened its global equities team as it realigned its Lugano-based investment capabilities. it appointed Jian Shi Cortesi, Swetha Ramachandran, and Roberto Bottoli to join the team led by Mark Hawtin.

Shi Cortesi, who manages GAM Asia Focus and GAM China Evolution strategies, and Bottoli, who manages GAM Star (Lux) Merger Arbitrage strategy, will now join the global equity team with Ramachandran, who manages GAM’s Luxury Brands Equity strategy Join by Hawtin.

Hawtin has over 37 years of investment experience and is the manager of the GAM Star Disruptive Growth and GAM Star Alpha Technology strategies. He will lead this collaboration to create a broader forum for sharing expertise, knowledge and ideas for a team that will now manage approximately $ 2.5 billion in assets.

As part of this broader realignment, GAM will also provide the global equities team with additional research and analyst resources to capitalize on the continued success of equity strategies.

Schröder – The asset manager has strengthened its fiduciary management team with the appointment of a specialist business development director to meet clients’ investment objectives in outsourcing.

David Thomas joined by Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) as Fiduciary Director of Business Development. Most recently, he worked in GSAM’s UK and Irish institutional client business and after 14 years was Head of Fiduciary Management for UK institutional clients.

In this newly created position, Thomas reports to Claire Glennon, Schroders co-director of the UK and Irish institutes.

Invesco – The asset manager announced that its ESG team has grown by eight in the past three months. These include Sudip Hazra, Director of ESG Research, Maximilian Kufer, Head of ESG for Private Markets, and Conor Harnett, ESG Client Strategy Manager.

Franklin Templeton / Aviva InvestorsFranklin resources acquires Aviva investors” US-based investment grade lending team that currently manages more than $ 7.5 billion in institutional assets.
