Planning consultancy makes key promotions

The planning consultancy Marrons Planning has made two new hires and four internal promotions.

Karen Brightman is moving from Charnwood Borough Council to the consulting firm’s headquarters in Leicester, where she will serve as Associate Director and bring extensive experience working on strategic projects. George Smith joins the Stratford Hub as a senior planner after serving on the Cherwell County Council for 6 years.

Nottingham-based Jenny Keen and David Pendle have been promoted from Associate Director to Planning Director.

Jenny is a registered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) with over 12 years experience in a number of sectors including residential, commercial and retail planning, working for a range of property developers and national home builders in promoting locations through the development plan, coordination of important building applications and management of building applications.

David Pendle has a wealth of local government experience working with landowners, developers and consultancies specializing in land development and strategic development.

Meanwhile, lead planners Daniel Robinson-Wells and Sachin Parmar have been promoted to associate directors in the Stratford and Leicester hubs.

Daniel has more than 14 years of experience in planning, from implementing strategic procurement to application planning and planning calls, working with individuals, small businesses, large builders and property developers.

Sachin has been with Marrons Planning for two years and has worked in public sector planning agencies in rural and urban areas for more than a decade.

Sachin said, “We understand the complexity of the planning system and I really enjoy working on very challenging, controversial projects. At Marrons Planning we help to design large development projects, work together with our legal colleagues and formulate successful planning strategies in order to offer the best possible chances of obtaining a building permit for the development. “
