Wallace Whittle’s current management team from Glasgow has bought the company from Munich-based TÜV SÜD as part of a “mutual agreement” and offers around 90 jobs in its offices in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Belfast Warrington, London and Dubai.

The company’s project portfolio includes the St. James Quarter in Edinburgh, the redesign of the Battersea Power Station in London and the Inverurie Community Campus near Aberdeen. Current projects include Edinburgh St James and Cadworks, Glasgow. The current turnover is approximately 10 million GBP.

Managing Director Allan McGill, who joined the company in 1995 as a prospective engineer and headed the buyout, said: “A change of direction at TÜV SÜD since 2019 has given Wallace Whittle’s senior team the opportunity to focus on what we do best ;; Construction planning and advice.

“A contract has been signed that will secure all existing jobs as well as our six offices across the UK and one in Dubai. All management remains in place and we do not intend to make any significant changes to the delivery and operation of the store. We thank TÜV SÜD and look forward to working in partnership with you in the years to come. “

Wallace Whittle provides design and consulting services in the fields of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP), environmental building technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, power, lighting, data, security and intelligent building systems.
