New bourbon model’s success: Brother’s Bond
For Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, the reason for launching their own bourbon brand is personal. The two actors found inspiration for the brand while working on the set of the show “Vampire Diaries”. Based on the growing brotherly bond they formed while working together. Although the show ended 4 years ago, they have continued their close friendship. You helped develop an alcohol brand called Brother’s Bond Bourbon and, to say the least,i brewed youpa storm.
When bourbon hit the market in May, it sold out online within a few days. After the success of the launch, they sold 50,000 cases of the four-grain bourbon whiskey.
Wesley said the pandemic had allowed them to stay focused. With little else to do, the two of them spent most of their time together creating this “passion project” that was “over ten years in development”.
“I mean, of course it was a terrible time, but at the same time it forced us to sit in our homes, step up our zooms, talk every day and develop this product. Ian and I live close together, ”said Paul Wesley. “So I went to see Ian. We mixed this bourbon together in his living room. “
The new brand is not only fermenting successfully, it is also giving something back to the planet. Somerhalder is known as an environmentalist and humanist. He has his non-profit organization, the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. They work to empower, educate, and work with people and projects to have a positive impact on the planet and its creatures.
With his knowledge and understanding of how new businesses can impact the environment, he expressed how he and Wesley are doing everything possible to ensure Brothers Bond makes a positive impact on the world.
“The future of business is triple profit companies,” said Somerhalder. “People, planet, profit – the end of the story, right? We obviously know that science-based regenerative agriculture can stop climate change, so let’s double up and put our money where our mouth is … We are an agricultural company. And we will ensure that we invest heavily, strongly, heavily in regenerative agriculture by sequestering enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and safely storing it back in the ground where it belongs. “
The co-owners knew bourbon was the way to go for them. “That is the most authentic thing we can imagine. Our soul is in this bottle, ”said Paul Wesley
The drink costs $ 39.99 and is sold both online and at major chains, including Walmart, Albertsons, and Trader Joe’s.
