Knowledge Privateness Consultancy Securys Expands to Pursue New Market in Eire

DUBLIN & LONDON – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Securys data protection consultancy opens in Dublin, their first office outside the UK, to support Ireland’s growing economy of local and multinational companies and ensure data protection in an increasingly data-driven world.

This is the first step in expansion plans where the company will open additional offices across Europe and beyond over the next few years to serve its global customer base.

Securys, the UK’s largest specialist data protection consultancy, has built a reputation for integrating the basic human right to privacy into a business proposition that gives client companies a competitive advantage.

Founder and Director Ben Rapp says: “Ireland has developed into a European digital center alongside its strong domestic economy. The recent expansion of the Irish regulator shows a commitment to data protection that provides the ideal climate for our main business purpose.

“We strive to give our customers a commercial advantage through good data protection measures – or Privacy Made Positive ™, as we call it.”

Good data protection means more than just complying with regulations: it increases customer and employee loyalty and drives sales growth.

Securys pioneered business, consumer and employee research to help businesses understand the positive effects of data protection in large numbers. This study helps our customers to focus their privacy programs and supports their budget allocation for privacy.

Ben Rapp says: “We are excited about the opportunities in Ireland. The country’s popularity as a European base creates a significant business opportunity, especially given our expertise in supporting large multinational corporations.

“The main focus will be on the Irish domestic market as well as supporting multinational companies in all sectors. We offer a full range of data protection requirements, from strategic advice and implementation to data flow management.

“I’ve been looking forward to opening a European office for some time, as the EU has the most mature data protection market in the world.

“Ireland’s fast growing business market is so attractive that we decided to take our first step into Europe here and I couldn’t be happier.”

The move comes after two years of intense growth for Securys with a sales increase of more than 1,000 percent.

Ben Rapp continues, “We were delighted to have Cheryl Rego join our Irish office as a Senior Consultant in January and we will be adding a number of new employees to the office in the next quarter. Cheryl’s world-class expertise will be of great benefit to our customers and she is supported by a strong team as well as our broader group resources. ”

Cheryl Rego says, “I am very excited to play a role as Securys is shaping the future of data protection for some of Ireland’s largest companies. It’s great to work with a consulting firm that has such a powerful impact. ”

Further announcements are expected later this year as Securys continues its global expansion within Europe and across the Atlantic.
