Delta International Recognises Girls On a regular basis

Delta Global, Packaging, Luxury, Women, International Women's Day,

Delta Global is known not only for luxury and sustainable packaging, but for actively seeking progression within businesses. The brand’s forward thinking and knowledge of industry standards are what shapes Delta Global into one of the top known and respected companies in the UK.

After celebrating International Women’s Day last week, Robert Lockyer, CEO and founder of luxury and sustainable packaging solutions provider Delta Global, emphasizes the importance of recognizing the achievements of women in the workplace every day of the year.

And with that, he’s provided his top five female-led businesses and explained how they’ve helped to shape the industry we know today.

PRESS RELEASE

Luxury female-led brands to be inspired by everyday

Having just celebrated International Women’s Day – and whilst it is a truly monumental time of year, one firm believes that women should instead be celebrated every day.

in this piece Delta Globala provider of luxury and sustainable packaging and its CEO Robert Lockyer, discuss the influence and power of female-led brands and how they continue to shape the industry.

At Delta Global, we love that there is an entire day dedicated to women. However, we also believe that women should be celebrated every day; for their successes, their independence and their contribution to the world we live in.

Many of the world’s leading luxury brands are built on the foundation of entrepreneurial women, and it is these very brands that continue to break the bias.

Zimmermann, MATCHESFASHION, Bobbi Brown, Sweaty Betty and Net-A-Porter are all female-led brands to be inspired by – all of whom we have the pleasure of working with and have contributed tremendously to the luxury fashion industry.

And, in terms of luxury resale, The RealReal and Vestiaire Collective are leading the way, with female masterminds behind the brands.

carpenter

Sister duo Nicky and Simone founded award-winning luxury Australian fashion brand carpenter in 1991, and ever since, have stayed true to their initial vision of sophisticated femininity.

It is their ability to collaborate with and empower not only each other in business, but also their customers, that is truly inspiring.

From designing and selling garments from a garage in Paddington market to now, with collections stocked internationally, Zimmermann is a brand that continues to go from strength to strength and we applaud its ambition and success to date.

MATCHESFASHION

Stating that ‘discovering’ new designers was key to the business’s early success, Ruth Chapman co-founded MATCHESFASHION and the brand continues to grow and dominate the industry of luxury ecommerce.

The brand began as a brick-and-mortar store in London in 1987 and since its origination, has grown into a global luxury clothing retailer, supplying a variety of premium brands.

MATCHESFASHION continues to inspire both Delta Global and the work that we do, and we are proud to have a long-standing relationship with the team.

Bobby Brown

Bobbi Brown is a powerhouse leader in the luxury cosmetics space. With a background in makeup artistry and as a believer in enhancing features as opposed to ‘covering them up’, Bobbi and the entire brand empower individuals to use makeup sparingly, offering advice across the social sphere.

Continuing her journey as a leading female entrepreneur, Bobbi herself has successfully launched Jones Road, a clean ‘no-makeup’ makeup brand.

Bobby Brown has helped pave the way for aspiring cosmetic brands and continues to lead the luxury beauty industry.

Net-A-Porter

Former journalist and entrepreneur Natalie Massenet founded Net-A-Porter in the year 2000. She successfully developed the concept of turning a magazine into a website format, which has since become a stable source for the latest in luxury fashion.

Stocking over 800 industry-leading brands such as Burberry and Anya Hindmarch, Net-A-Porter is a pioneer of innovation and is the go-to destination for premium products.

Natalie is an inspiring leader with parent organizations and is the former chairman of the British Fashion Council.

The RealReal and Vestiaire Collective

The industry of luxury resale is on the rise, and two brands are not only leading the way, but also dominating the industry.

Generation Z are continuing to seek ways to combine their passions of luxury and sustainability, and resale is the answer to that demand.

Entrepreneur Julie Wainwright founded The RealReal back in March 2011 and has grown the ecommerce resale brand tremendously with brick-and-mortar stores elevating the brand’s presence to the streets of LA, NYC and Chicago, to name but a few.

Founded by six talented entrepreneurs, including its female masterminds Fanny Moizant and Sophie Hersan, Vestiaire Collective continues to take the resale fashion industry by storm. In little over a decade, the resale fashion firm has paved the way for sustainable fashion and continues to shape the industry moving forwards.

The future is female

We’ve recently announced the promotion of two female senior members of the team, who contribute tremendously to Delta Global and continue to support, empower, and encourage our female colleagues.

As we strive towards a future that is entirely equal, there remains to work to be done – which is why we celebrate women each and every day.
