Energy advice makes double appointment

The Global Procurement Group (GPG), headquartered in Gateshead, has agreed on a double appointment.

The energy services specialist, which operates in the UK as Northern Gas and Power (NGP), has hired Terri Lewis as Global Talent Acquisition Director and Megan Hofmann as its new Global Organizational Development Director.

They follow the appointment of Brendan Garvey as Chief People Officer in August 2021.

Prior to joining GPG, Lewis served the Newcastle Building Society as a consultant in the recruiting department and prior to that, she led the national recruitment program with EE (including the acquisition by BT), earning 13 years of service.

She said, “It’s exciting to join the company at the beginning of its transformation journey. I love challenges and it’s great that I will have a direct impact on the company during this time of change.

“I was warmly welcomed and immediately feel part of the company’s vision and mission. I have a passion for creative work and look forward to implementing an innovative approach in recruiting through digitization. “

Hofmann started her career at Orange in the learning and development function. She then spent 14 years at Barclays and received several promotions to the role of Global Leadership Trainer.

Megan Hofmann said: “It is important to me to help people realize their potential, both professionally and personally.

“I am pleased to be able to join the company at a point in his journey where I can have a significant impact on the learning and development function.”

GPG recently moved into its new headquarters on Gateshead Quays and aims to grow to around 1,000 employees by the end of 2021.
