Proprietor of Portsmouth graphic design enterprise King Orange Design needs to assist companies to get on-line by providing net design and digital advertising companies

The Portsmouth company, which has grown during the lockdown, has helped more than 200 companies build and improve their online presence and plans to expand to help even more.

North End owner Sam Amin, 36, saw the pandemic as an opportunity to support other companies negatively affected by Covid.

He said, “We’re among the lucky ones to benefit, so we’re trying our best to help companies who have been less fortunate and who don’t have as much online presence as others.”

King Orange Design helps companies build their business online. It offers website design and development, consulting, branding and digital marketing, among other things.

The business started as Sam’s “on and off hobby” and only became his full-time job last year due to the increased demand for the lockdown.

He said: “Since Covid, the demand for online digital services has increased so it was a good time for me to take this more seriously and it has gotten stronger, every month has been busier.”

Sam said he believed the reason for the increased demand was not only due to the pandemic, but also because people discovered that making the transition online is easier and cheaper than expected. He said the point is to make them aware that moving online isn’t as expensive as you think.

Entrepreneur behind Portsmouth’s Fastest Growing Driving School 1Drive swears …

Sam said King Orange has worked with a number of companies “from health and beauty companies to larger medical companies to local pharmacies or hairdressers, really anyone and everyone.”

Whether or not the client comes from a creative background, Sam and his team work with them to bring their ideas to life.

He said, “We’ll start by discussing the requirements with them and doing some research, looking at competitors, trends and the like. Then we go out and develop a few ideas for a requirements description, which we present to the customer along with a price, and when he is satisfied we get the ball rolling, give him a schedule and get started. ‘

‘Some customers are a little more creative than others, those who don’t just leave it to us, those who are a brand and already have, we get their input on what they imagine.’

Although the company has worked with companies around the world, Sam has a keen interest in working with companies in the Portsmouth area. He has worked with around 70 companies in Hampshire, from Portsmouth to Basingstoke, and hopes he can do even more to help his business grow.

A wide variety of companies King Orange has worked with include: Portsmouth-based press juice company Positive Juice, Jessie Leigh Dance & Cheer Academy in Gosport, pet boutique service company Parker’s Pets based in Southsea, NTC Hair and Beauty in Paulsgrove and Bentley Walker of Hayling Island, a reseller of satellite Internet equipment.
