Assurance consultancy Qual IT buys 40 per cent stake in Christchurch-based Millpond

Quality assurance consultancy Qual IT purchases part of the Christchurch-based project management and training company Millpond to provide more security for IT projects.
Millpond offers specialized project management and training for companies dedicated to digital transformation.
Wellington-based Qual IT said after seeing Millpond’s track record of deployment and similar human-centric corporate cultures, it felt the time was ripe to take a cornerstone stake in the company.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve our service, and it was a natural next step to keep our customers safe hands in overseeing the execution of their IT projects,” said Shane Hewson, co-founder and director of Qual IT.
Qual IT takes a 40 percent stake in Millpond for an undisclosed amount.
Millpond co-founder James Dobson said the deal was sealed in late September and will result in a more consolidated service delivery to customers across the two companies’ full range of services.
Qual IT has carved out a niche for itself in the IT market for over 17 years and offers independent, integrated quality assurance services for companies from all industries and project types.

Qual IT offers consulting services for business analysis, testing, test engineering and information security to ensure security for IT investments.
