Car maker Hyundai Motor Group has started a pilot project to use a robot To check the safety of his factory in an initial collaboration with the US robotics group Boston Dynamics.

Hyundai said the factory security service robot, based on Boston Dynamic’s four-legged robot “Spot”, is being deployed at its subsidiary Kia Corp. went into pilot operation.‘s plant in Gwangmyeong, southwest of Seoul.

It’s the first project launched between the two companies after the auto giant completed the $ 880 million acquisition of Japanese conglomerate Softbank in June.

Hyundai said the robot will be able to automatically navigate the factory using its artificial intelligence processing unit, teleoperation technologies and other sensors.
