Do you ever look at social media visual content and think – I wish I could create graphics like this!

Or watch a video clip and think – How do they do it? Would you like to be trained for the digital marketing industry?

Then the Digital Marketing Traineeship at the Monaghan Institute is the right course for you. Through the traineeship, you will learn how to use the Adobe software suite that is customary in the industry, complete nationally and internationally recognized qualifications and work for an employer. There are no fees for this degree, and you can receive an apprenticeship scholarship while studying.

The CMETB internship for digital marketing at the Monaghan Institute starts in September. This course provides an industry-specific qualification and is aimed at learners entering the digital marketing sector as well as those who are already in these areas and want to brush up their skills with formal education.

Why choose an internship?

Traineeships are fully financed courses of study that offer essential advancement paths to employment or further training.

The benefits include:

– No course fees

– Study near home

– Significantly improved employment prospects

– Extensive work experience with local employers

– Any training, food and travel allowance

– Development of work-based learning skills, knowledge and competences

Trainees spend three days at the Monaghan Institute and develop digital marketing skills in the workplace for two days. Past alumni of the course have interned at McAree Engineering, Sky Rocket Media, Cocktails for You, The Squealing Pig, Hollyblue Boutique, Mantra Living, TCS Trade Sales, Sound Quality Gifts, and Ronaghan’s Pharmacy.

What will you learn

Throughout the course, the emphasis is on creating and maintaining websites, designing images, posters, animations and videos for online use, creating and managing social media platforms and developing project management skills. You will also learn how to use modern techniques like analytics to understand online marketing campaigns.

“The main reason I chose this traineeship was that I lacked first-hand practical experience in digital marketing,” said Niall Treanor, Graduate Employer, the feedback I got showed me the experience was missing. This experience gave me this training. It has also developed my skills in video marketing, graphic design, and web design. After completing the internship, I found a job at the Cavan-based web design company Opus Design. “
