HR entrepreneur puts sector on map at Best Business Women Awards

Kent-based HR expert Sophie Forrest from ForrestHR helped raise the profile of the sector as a national finalist for Best Business Services at the prestigious National Best Business Women Awards 2021. For her business acumen, determination, creativity and persistence, shortlisted by competition from across the country, Sophie hopes to take home gold at the gala finals in London on October 15th.

Sophie has received recognition for her success in helping her clients with the challenges of rapidly changing employment regulations, such as vacation; Implementation of new health and safety protocols; and supporting the mental and physical health and wellbeing of employees.

“I am very happy to be a finalist at this year’s BBWA,” says Sophie. “Against all other corporate services – accountants, lawyers, insurance – it’s great to put HR on the map this way!

Sophie Forrest founded ForrestHR in 2018 to provide flexible HR support to SMEs. Building on over 20 years of HR experience, ForrestHR has grown rapidly, now with HR consultants covering London, the South East and West of the country.

During 2020, the business also expanded, introducing two new branches of the Forrest brand – the Forrest Training Academy, to provide companies with employee and competency-based training, and Forrest Health & Wellbeing, a unique holistic program to support companies and their employees in all areas of their professional and private life.

Sophie was recently named Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Most Outstanding Emerging HR Consultancy at the 2021 Global Business Insight Awards, and will also be shortlisted for the Kent Women in Business Awards in September.
