In my role at Just Mortgages, I get a unique insight into the diverse needs of brokers. For this reason we are working on the production of a new digital marketing package.

Since not everyone needs the same level of support, the package offers bespoke levels of support tailored to the broker’s needs.

For brokers who can take advantage of a digital marketing package, it is most helpful to find one that has access to an internal marketing database that is customizable to include the broker’s name and contact details.

Support should also target social media content, local business partnerships, and advertising. But it is also important that the communication between the marketing team and the broker goes in both directions.

Optimize processes

It is important to streamline processes in order to produce quality online marketing.

Digital marketing shows its value because it gives a broker the ability to see what’s popular, what’s growing in importance online, and what content is getting the most clicks.

I love my job because it is constantly evolving and every day is unique. You always have to keep an ear to the ground and be up to date on what’s going on in the world so that your job in the company is always relevant.

For this reason, it is important that brokers sign up for regular updates with rich content and articles to read or share online so that they can stay up to date and provide their clients with the best possible advice.

Marketing for everyone

Marketing should be an important part of any broker’s business. If you don’t have the support of a broker, network, or club, there are still things you can do.

Stay up to date on what’s happening in the industry by reading the mortgage press. There are many informative articles on all areas of home finance.

Don’t ignore social media as it is a great platform to showcase your business and skills.

If you can get people to give you good feedback on social media, you will get more business as people tend to trust recommendations. Social media offers a unique way to connect with and build relationships with your customers.

While it’s important to post content to showcase your knowledge, it’s just as important to post engaging content that will encourage clients to keep in touch with you even after they graduate.

Not everything has to be a call-to-action – customer loyalty is important in the long term.

Video is also a great form of interactive content. There is so much you can do to bring informative and engaging content to your customers and prospects.

Discussing trending topics and staying relevant to customers often means maintaining a connection with them.

Growth opportunity

When I take a moment to think about my time at Just Mortgages, I think of the opportunity for growth. All brokerage firms have the potential to grow when people’s needs have changed due to Covid.

As a marketer, I am excited to see where the industry will be in a year’s time.
