Curia Business Group launches Business Innovation Program

Doha: Curia Business Group, a Qatari venture and management consultancy founded by Hussain Akbar Al Baker, has announced the launch of its Curia Business Innovation incubator program.

The Curia Business Innovation Program is designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with personalized step-by-step guidance on how to turn their business idea from concept vision into reality. Curia has extensive experience in starting new businesses and serving entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar. The program is aimed at ambitious entrepreneurs living in Qatar, whether nationals or residents, who have an innovative idea that contributes to the innovation theme of each founder cycle.

The first cycle of the program focuses on technology and is conducted in partnership with Microsoft. The application starts on August 25, 2021 and runs until September 30, 2021. The top candidates will start their entrepreneurial journey with the program from October 17, 2021.

Al Baker, an international investor and entrepreneur, said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of the Curia Business Innovation Program and look forward to empowering the next generation of business leaders. The program is part of Curia’s ongoing efforts to provide entrepreneurs with the foundation they need to launch their startup and accelerate their business to new heights. ”Serving in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 to grow and diversify Qatar’s economy the program as a gateway to stimulate innovation in a wide range of industries including: agriculture and manufacturing; Arts and Culture; Education; Entertainment and events; Environmental compatibility; Health and wellness; Health care; Sports; Technology; and tourism.

The Curia Business Innovation Program runs on a part-time basis for 12 weeks and is structured to help participants build the basic elements of their business plan, produce a 3 to 5 year financial forecast, and finally a pitch deck for investors to develop. At the end of the program, the aspiring entrepreneurs will have founded their new startup and will be able to approach potential investors and partners.

With support from Microsoft, the program will involve participants in specialist-led workshops, provide them with personal mentoring, and provide them with access to useful technical tools. The workshops will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to: business purpose, industry and market research, organizational and legal structure, sales, marketing, operations, and financial plans. Successful entrepreneurs who set up their startups also have the opportunity to be quickly accepted into the “Microsoft for Startups” program.

Microsoft has developed plans to deliver the smart and trusted Microsoft cloud services from a new cloud data center region in Qatar with Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.

The Curia Business Innovation Program is supported by local and international mentors composed of subject matter experts, serial entrepreneurs, C-level executives, investors and more. You will coach the participants intensively during the 12 weeks.
