Michael Ertl takes over the management of the Inorganic Pigments Business Unit (IPG) Lanxess with immediate effect. He will be responsible for the global business of the specialty chemicals group with inorganic color pigments mainly used in the construction industry. Ertl is successful Holger Hueppelerwho heads the newly founded Flavors & Fragrances (F&F) division at Lanxess after the successful acquisition of Emerald Kalama chemical.

The appreciative growth of Michael Ertl over the past three decades

Ertl has joined Bayer AG 1992 as a division engineer after studying process engineering at the RWTH Aachen and then worked in various leading positions in the field of technology. In 2005 he took over the management of the internal management consultancy Operational Excellence at Lanxess.

Three years later he moved to Aliseca GmbH, where he was a department head and site manager Krefeld-Uerdingen. In 2013 he took over the management of the Lanxess Chempark office in Leverkusen. Since October 2015, Ertl has headed the Benzyl Products and Inorganic Acids Business Line within the Advanced Industrial Intermediates business unit.

The IPG division is part of the Lanxess Advanced Intermediates segment, which achieved sales of around two billion euros in 2017 Fiscal year 2020. IPG operates its largest location in Krefeld-Uerdingen and also has other locations in Happy postage (Brazil), Starpointe Burgettstown (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA), Branston (UNITED KINGDOM), Vilassar de Mar.
