RSM advises on the sale of a communication and business systems company

The M&A and private equity team of the auditing, tax and consulting company RSM advised on the sale of a specialist in communication and corporate systems.

RSM’s M&A and private equity team advised Cellular Solutions shareholders on the sale of the business to Communications Plus, a B2B telecommunications provider.

Cellular Solutions, based in the northeast, was founded by Mike Bowers in 1995 and is part of the O2 Direct partner network, which offers its customers cellular, landline, broadband and software services.

Merseyside-based Communications Plus employs more than 200 people in 21 locations and was named O2 Franchise of the Decade in 2018.

As part of the transaction, Cellular Solutions’ business software division was transferred to Smith Cooper System Partners, an accredited business partner of Sage.
