J2 Retail Management Pivots to Full-Service Client Consultancy

A unique retail company has grown into a one-stop shop offering simple and efficient end-to-end retail solutions.

J2 Retail Management is a privately held comprehensive retail services organization that works with brands to develop, develop and execute branding strategies. It coordinates all the elements in a company to create and strengthen the brand experience to maximize sales and enrich the customer experience.

The long-established Toronto-based company is headed by trade veterans Jodie Wolfe and Brian Le Saux. The company’s range of services includes logistics and supply chain management, merchandising, e-commerce and visual media. It operates multiple warehouse space in the greater Toronto area with plans for further expansion.

Brian Le Saux, Vice President, says, “Essentially, we deal with end-to-end retail solutions. Before COVID, we were known as a merchandising company only for upscale clothing items. Now we have switched to transportation and distribution to wholesalers and retailers. Our storage facilities enable us to take over the picking and packaging before the goods are dispatched. “

“We also take care of marketing activities for our customers. This includes in-store displays and digital or regular print advertising. We take care of everything in terms of an end-to-end service. Customers appreciate that we are a single point of contact who reduces some of their overheads and maximizes their profit. “

Le Saux says shortly before COVID, J2 customers said they wanted a one-stop shop with everything under one roof.

“We grew organically into all of the other divisions we have now. We never set out to be in the warehouse or printing business. Today we can offer a wide range of services to our customers across the continent. “

Wolfe is an accomplished retail leader in the apparel industry with more than 20 years of experience in visual merchandising, window display, execution kits and branded product launches across North America.

Her experience includes working as a visual merchandising manager in Canada for Calvin Klein Retail; a senior position as Director of Visual Presentation where she directed and executed visual standards for all CMT brands with general managers and store teams; Head of marketing teams at retailers Urban Behavior and Costa Blanca; and freelance merchandising professional who works for several successful clothing brands.

Le Saux is a seasoned operator with over 15 years of retail industry experience working with companies to improve their brand consistency, customer experience and operational controls.

His experience includes serving as Retail Operations Director for the Jaytex Group; Area Operations Manager / Training and Development Manager for PVH – Calvin Klein Canada; and Regional Sales Manager – Esprit Canada Retail.

Wolfe said, “We delivered an upscale experience and evolved to offer even more with the pandemic. Now our full-service offerings are being sought after by brands looking to keep expanding as shoppers come back into stores and we see more consumer confidence.
