Nottingham-based engineering firm Dice has added a trio of newbies to its structural engineering team.

Charlie Smith, Jack Simmons and Nezih Yasdiman have all joined the company, with existing team member Niall Murray, who joined Dice last year, being promoted to lead REVIT technician.

Yasdiman will serve as the structural design team leader for the company, with Smith and Simmons appointed as senior civil engineers and senior REVIT technicians, respectively.

Wayne Oakes, Director at Dice, said, “We are excited to welcome three more new team members and to announce a well-deserved promotion for Niall. At this point last year we had few people working in the structural part of the business and these new hires are an indicator of the company’s rapid growth during that time. “

A seasoned Associate Civil Engineer with decades of experience in the industry, first as an engineer in Turkey and then in the consulting sector after moving to the UK, Yasdiman has acquired a wide range of knowledge and expertise.

Smith has over five years of engineering consulting experience and has been heavily involved in a number of residential and commercial projects. Simmons started his career as an engineer before specializing in REVIT in 2015 and as a BIM manager on the Würfel team.

Oakes added, “We have had a flying start to the year despite all of the challenges COVID-19 presents. This is 100% down to our brilliant team and our practical, customer-centric approach. We have the skills, resources and experience of a large company but the responsiveness and agility of an SMB and that approach has served us well during the pandemic.

“However, our fantastic team is the real heroes, so we attach great importance to the well-being of our employees and their support. We also know that the industry is suffering from a shortage of skilled workers and needs to attract new talent. Therefore, the quality of the recruits we have been able to hire and retain speaks volumes for the company as well as for the projects and customers we work with, and we look forward to the next chapter in our growth. “
