Opportunity for companies to join the building design advisory framework
Scotland Excel is developing a framework for construction-accompanying consulting services for buildings and land and will be online on Tuesday to talk to potential providers about it.
The new building construction advisory framework will enable businesses to do business with public entities, including municipalities and housing associations, across Scotland.
It will encompass a range of services, including architecture, civil engineering, volume measurement, construction clerks, project management, CDM consulting, master planning, environmental technology, building surveying, and mechanical, electrical and sanitary engineering.

The tender for the framework will be published on Public Contracts Scotland in late July. The frame is divided into thirteen lots:
- Lot 1 – architecture
- Lot 2 – conservation architecture
- Lot 3 – civil engineering
- Lot 4 – machine, electrical and sanitary engineering
- Lot 5 – quantity take-off
- Lot 6 – multidisciplinary
- Lot 7 – clerk
- Lot 8 – project management
- Lot 9 – landscape architecture
- Lot 10 – CDM advice
- Lot 11 – master planning
- Lot 12 – environmental technology
- Lot 13 – building surveying
Scotland Excel is the local government sector procurement expertise, funded by all 32 Scottish local authorities. It has an extensive framework portfolio to assist councils and other associate members (such as housing associations) in procuring a wide range of goods and services.
