Mediaworks Leeds plans to add nearly 20 new members to its team by the end of the year after securing £ 1 million in new business.

The team, which was founded in early 2020 as part of the 150-strong digital marketing agency Mediaworks, headquartered in the northeast, recently added Johnson & Johnson, First Direct, United Utilities and Lil-Lets to its growing portfolio.

The Leeds office primarily focuses on branding strategy and experience, campaigns and community service services.

With a goal of 100% staff growth for 2021, Mediaworks Leeds aims to more than double its workforce from the current 20 members.

Gill Ball, Managing Partner, said: “We want to maintain our existing relationships with universities and colleges in and around the region in order to find exciting new talent.

“This is an integral part of Mediaworks Leeds’ vision and our drive to find the best creative minds to drive the growth of the brands we work with.

“Our rapid growth means that we are also looking for larger space in the city – this is an important step in laying the foundation for a very exciting future for Mediaworks here in Leeds.”

The agency, with offices in Newcastle, Edinburgh and London, expanded to Leeds last year and recently announced an expansion of its activities in Scotland. The team in their new Edinburgh office will be expanded to include five more members.

The Leeds operations originally opened after Mediaworks teamed up with seasoned former agency directors.

Mediaworks CEO and Founder Brett Jacobson said: “The Leeds team has accelerated growth over the past year, working with some of the UK’s best-known names. His quality brand and creative strategy work has proven to be an invaluable addition to our current range of services.

“The team’s strategic and creative experience has further enhanced the strength and phenomenal talent in our business and has been perfectly integrated with the wider Mediaworks team in Newcastle and now Edinburgh.

“We understand how important Yorkshire is to the UK economy and look forward to building our success and presence in the region.”
