Silverstone Constructing Consultancy appointed to historic lodge mission

Silverstone Building Consultancy named for Historic Hotel Project

Leeds-based Silverstone Building Consultancy was hired to help restore a historic Yorkshire hotel.

The company was hired by The Inn Collection Group to manage the project for the renovation of the 40-bed Ripon Spa Hotel.

The venue dates back to 1906 and was the fourth acquisition by the Northumberland-based Yorkshire company. An active phase for the business follows, with the portfolio growing to 24 properties in the north, 11 of which were purchased during the pandemic.

The property on Park Street, which has been closed since March 2020, is being lovingly restored by the Inn Collection Group under the “Eat, Drink, Sleep and Explore” brand.

Ben Rennocks, Director of the Silverstone Leeds office, said: “This impressive building, which represents the best of Edwardian Yorkshire life, complete with international standard croquet lawn in beautifully landscaped grounds, is being meticulously renovated, with the necessary repairs and modernizations be made inside and out.

“This includes a new passenger elevator and the modernization of all services as well as the hotel suites, kitchens, bar, dining room and bistro, which was once a Turkish bath, and keeps the spa tradition of the city alive for many years after Ripon became a spa in the 1940s closed.”
