The beginnings of Kwarts

Kwarts was founded in 2016 and recently introduced an AI-focused customer data platform called “A-Inside”, which helps companies centralize and analyze data flows and thus map the customer journey.

“We link data flows from the existing CRM and ERP system together with data from third-party providers with our platform. A-Inside analyzes the data and makes suggestions on customer needs. This is done in a very clear and workable way. We remove the silos between different teams within a company. In this way, A-Inside maps the needs of customers and care providers and gives recommendations on how to meet their needs, ”explain CEO Bart Van Proeyen and CCO Ruben De Moor from Kwarts

The A-Inside platform was created as part of a VLAIO project in collaboration with the BIARU cell of the University of Hasselt and is based on scientific research. “We approach the industry with expertise. Because of this background knowledge, there is an affinity to the life sciences. That is why we mainly work with and for companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, both in Belgium and abroad. From our experience we can develop pragmatic solutions that work for our customers. But A-Inside is an agnostic platform that can be implemented perfectly in other industries, ”assures Bart.

“A big advantage is that our system can be integrated into an existing CRM system,” say Van Proeyen and De Moor.

These two youth friends met again in summer 2020 and developed the platform together. This funding and the launch of the A-Inside platform mark the final turn for Kwarts from consulting to being a product-oriented company.

The expansion plans

Kwarts has already completed projects in Europe and Asia and is planning a trade mission to the USA. The startup wants to expand further in order to achieve further growth. “With the current seven-person team, we are very strong in the field of AI. In addition to commercial profiles, we are now looking for strong profiles in the areas of software development and data science. Together with them, we want to keep Kwarts growing and become a household name, ”Ruben concludes.
