ThinCats offers funding to administration consultancy

ThinCats offers investments for management consultancies

Matthew Crisp, CEO of Wheelhouse Advisors

Leicestershire based alternative funder ThinCats has made investments to support a business consultancy’s growth plans.

Wheelhouse Advisors provides management, reporting and accounting, tax and human resources support to the financial services sector. The company was acquired in 2020 as part of a management buyout with the support of Pelican Capital.

Working with its private equity backers, the Wheelhouse Advisors team has agreed a financing package with ThinCats to address its growth agenda, expand its client offerings and drive its digital transformation.

Matthew Crisp, CEO of Wheelhouse Advisors, said, “We have a fantastic core business and lead responsibility for a number of key regulations and initiatives in the regulated financial services sector, where we stand out in helping the investment management sector prepare for the big changes around the corner.

We know that by enabling our business digitally, we can better serve our growing customer base. The customer experience is also enhanced by expanding our wheelhouse, through a combination of select acquisitions and attracting individuals and teams who share our growth mindset, fast-paced culture and customer focus to add new skills as we grow our dynamic team.

“The additional funding from ThinCats will enable us to realize our ambitions for more reach and service breadth.”

Dave Sherrington, ThinCats Regional Sales Director in London, added, “It was a great pleasure to meet Matthew and the team, understand the workings behind the business and deepen our relationship with Pelican Capital.

“Wheelhouse Advisors’ business strategy and future plans are impressive and we look forward to seeing them grow.”
