Thirty companies and organizations were selected as finalists for the sixth Hyndburn Business Awards, along with two nominees for the title of “Enterprising Person”.

The awards are being organized by Enterprising People and a personal presentation is scheduled for the evening of June 22nd at Accrington City Hall, Accrington, Lancashire.

Alternate dates for July 6th and 20th are also reserved in case there is a slip while easing restrictions.

Rob Carder from the organizer Enterprising People expressed his appreciation for the 589 nominations received for 139 companies in the Hyndburn area.

“The organizers also received 53 enterprising nominations and 11 suggestions for the Pride of Hyndburn title, which makes judging quite difficult,” he said.

“It is encouraging to see how fantastic our local businesses have done during the pandemic. They have faced the many challenges, changed the way they operate, and shown true strength and strength to survive the pandemic while helping others.

“Last year we had to hold the presentation virtually. This year we are determined to personally distribute the trophies in the town hall again.”

All companies and those selected as finalists are in the running to be selected for the Beacon Award – which will be given to the most inspiring company or person and will be announced on the night.
