Advising RSK Group taken over

A technical consulting company in the northeast has changed hands after the takeover by the integrated environmental, engineering and technical service company RSK Group.

Newcastle-based Enviresearch, which provides regulatory and risk assessment services to the global chemical industry, was purchased for an undisclosed price.

The company’s main specialty is protecting plants from attacks by insects, diseases and weeds, as well as implementing sustainable cultivation techniques and protecting the environment.

The company mainly works with customers in the UK and Europe, but also has customers in North America, China, Japan and Southeast Asia and a subsidiary in Portugal.

RSK employs more than 5,000 people worldwide.

Enviresearch founder James Garratt, who founded the company in 2001, said: “Enviresearch has been growing steadily for almost exactly two decades and we are delighted to have found such a respected company to move into the next phase of can its development. “
