alex brgudac

Alex Brgudac, head of partnerships at SME lender Prospa, will step down from his role as he builds a management consultancy for the financial sector.

The head of the partnership has announced that he will be leaving his position with the fintech lender to focus on advising the industry on business and management strategies.

Mr Brgudac, who has worked at the online lender for the past five years (building new and existing partnerships for the past four years as Head of Partnerships), will be stepping down from his position on June 4th to begin a full-time consultancy.

Before joining Prospa, Mr. Brgudac held various managerial positions in operations and change management, including as senior manager for operational changes at IAG.

He is also a certified master coach, has a certification in corporate governance and is currently a mentor in finance.

His first client as a consultant will be Prospa.

Speaking about his time at Prospa, Brgudac told The Adviser: “My passion for small businesses is one of the main reasons I came to Prospa and loved my time here. Every day we make a difference by helping small businesses and combining smart technology and amazing service to help them grow, run and pay.

“I have had the privilege of being part of an amazing organization on my way from startup to ASX listed company that provides an alternative solution for traditional lenders and helps solve the biggest challenge facing small businesses, which is access to finance.

“Today – I’d have a hard time finding a broker anywhere in Australia who doesn’t know who Prospa is or what we do to help small businesses. This recognition is largely the result of probably 10,000+ conversations with brokers and accountants and the support of the incredible and passionate team at Prospa, as well as the excellent support from our industrial partners. “

Noticing his entry into counseling, he continued: “As I move into a new phase of my career, I am very excited that I will still be so closely connected to the business that will always have a part of my heart.

“I am now very interested in using my expertise in building brand, strategy and sales channels and advising a wide range of organizations in the financial services sector.”

The Lender’s Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Beau Bertoli, recognized Mr. Brgudac’s contribution to the development of the Prospa brand, stating, “As As a co-founder of Prospa, I am delighted that Alex’s entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in this next phase of his career.

“Alex was an integral part of the Prospa leadership team during his time and was instrumental in developing Prospa’s partner channel brand. He built the partner sales channel and developed and led several teams.

“Prospa has an award-winning team dedicated to the broker and accountant network that will ensure that network continues to receive the support we are proud of.”Said Mr Bertoli.

Prospa has announced that it will release more information about the change in the coming weeks.
