Octopus Ventures led a £ 8 million Series A round for Sprout.ai, the Insurtech that allows insurers to process claims within 24 hours. Other investors in the group were Amadeus Capital Partners, Playfair Capital and Techstars. Insurance giant Zurich is one of Sprout.ai’s customers.

Fixr Boogies with an investment of £ 6.5m

Fixr, the digital events and ticketing platform, has raised £ 6.5m from investors for its white label pre-sale ticketing service. Investors include the FSE Group, Armajaro Holdings, Smith & Williamson and the Carlisle Commerce Group. Rekom UK, the UK’s largest nightclub operator, has signed up for Fixr’s ticketing solution as the country prepares to reopen nightclubs.

ISIZE TV technology carries over a £ 5m financing round

Octopus Ventures has also completed a $ 6.3 million (£ 4.5 million) financing round for London-based iSIZE, whose technology takes into account the environmental impact of streaming. This brings the total funding raised by iSIZE to $ 8.2 million.

It is projected that video will reach 82 percent of all global internet traffic by 2022. According to research, it already contributes to more than 1 percent of global emissions.

ITV AdVentures Invest, ITV’s media-for-equity initiative, has completed its second stake in Respoke Limited, the company behind menswear brand SPOKE. ITV has subscribed for up to £ 2 million in convertible bonds in three tranches. Co-investors include the British Growth Fund, Forward Partners, Oxford Capital and 24Haymarket.

AeroCloud lands £ 1.2m seed round

AeroCloud Systems, the cloud-based airport management system, has completed a $ 1.7 million (£ 1.2 million) launch led by Playfair Capital. Airports already using AeroCloud Systems include the US destinations Tampa International and John Wayne Airport in California. Many airports are only 65 percent busy and may lose millions in revenue.

The Intermediate Capital Group has acquired a minority stake in the technology consultancy 6point6 and valued the company at around USD 100 million (GBP 72 million). 6point6, which specializes in digital transformation and cybersecurity, lists clients such as the Home Office, the BBC and Clear Bank.

Lyre’s lifts glass to the third round of seeds

Lyre’s, the non-alcoholic spirits brand, has completed another launch round that is valued at £ 100million. Lyre is available in 43 countries and is expected to reach £ 35 million in sales by the end of this year. Investors featured in this launch round, the third since Lyre was founded, include Morgan Creek Capital Management and Bitburger Ventures. Existing investors include DLF Venture, VRD Ventures, SFO, Maropost Ventures and Döhler Ventures.
