Tribal gaming report – iGaming Enterprise

The Tribal Gaming Report, sponsored by Kambi, offers the most comprehensive overview of gaming in the Indian country and its future development.

Tribal gaming accounts for nearly half of all industry revenue in the United States. It spans almost every state and provides important funding to the Indian communities.

At a time when the US market is expanding and developing significantly, numerous European companies have expanded into the country. But gambling in the Indian country is different from commercial casinos. There are different goals, motivations and beneficiaries.

This report, compiled by Paul Girvan of PKC Gaming & Leisure Consultancy and sponsored by Kambi, aims to provide insight into how tribal gaming came about and how it is regulated. It examines the economic impact of casinos on Indian countries as well as the market’s growth potential in the years to come.

And with the introduction of newly regulated products like sports betting and igaming, which vary from state to state, regulatory developments in Michigan and Washington state are coming to the fore. Amid the desire for partnerships, the report aims to provide Native American operators with a clear view of the potential deals that can be forged and explain to their potential partners what they want to achieve through such partnerships.

Tribes are also expanding domestically and abroad. This year, for the first time, a tribal-operated casino opened on the Las Vegas Strip, and the operator of that property, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, is also targeting new facilities in Japan, South Korea and Greece. Bobby Soper, its recently appointed international president, discusses these ambitions.

We thank Kambi for sponsoring this report. We hope it will come in handy.
