Consultancy appointed to market 190-home holiday property development

Hendersons, a North Yorkshire residential real estate consultancy, has been hired to promote Raithwaite Village, a new development of luxury vacation homes near Whitby.

Twelve properties worth a total of £ 6 million have already been reserved or sold since the 98 acre development started last month.

Raithwaite Village, being developed by Maritime Capital, includes a collection of lodges, cottages and coastal villas in Sandsend.

Planning for 190 houses has been approved, which will be developed in four phases and completed over a period of four years.

The development will include a space for cafes, shops and a bakery.

Nick Henderson, Owner and General Manager of Hendersons in Whitby, said, “It’s been fantastic to work with Maritime Capital to market these outstanding vacation homes and the adoption has been phenomenal.

“This interest has led to the sale of 12 cottages, villas and lodges, each with their own architectural style and forming phase one.

“We have all sold two and three bedroom villas that range from £ 695,000 to £ 800,000. all four of the £ 495,000 three bedroom lodges with spectacular ocean views; and five of the cottages, which range from £ 350,000 for one bedroom to £ 465,000 for a two bedroom.

“The creation of this new village will give the local economy a massive boost in a timely manner and create numerous jobs not only during the construction phase, but also after the development has been completed. This will be a sustainable and long-term investment in the region. “

Toby Hunter, CEO of Maritime Capital, added, “We are delighted to appoint Hendersons of Whitby to represent Raithwaite Village as Nick and his team know the local market incredibly well and most importantly, they are all very professional, efficient and friendly.

“Sandsend and Yorkshire as a whole attract visitors from across the UK. With the recent rediscovery of the UK’s Staycation, we believe that having a second home in Raithwaite Village will be a desirable choice for many.”

The houses were designed by Holder Mathias Architects, the interiors by design experts and interior retailer Neptune.
