Ex-Financial institution of England CISO Neal Semikin joins The 324 Consultancy
324 Consultancy has strengthened its ranks with cybersecurity heavyweight Neal Semikin, former Chief Information Security Officer of the Bank of England.
Founded in 2019, The 324 Consultancy is a boutique consulting firm specializing in cyber risk management and security, providing advisory and program delivery services to clients across the financial services industry.
The addition of Neal Semikin to his team adds more than three decades of information technology experience to his ranks. Before joining, he worked for the Bank of England for over a decade, most recently as Chief Information Security Officer. In this role he was responsible for cybersecurity risk and organizational maturity for the bank.
Previously, as Head of IT Security, he was involved in setting up the now 100-strong IT cybersecurity department and headed the application and infrastructure areas of the central bank. During his time at the Bank of England, Semikin was also the UK representative on the G20 Security Incident Working Group in Basel and the trilateral cyber partnership with the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of Canada.
Previously, he worked for the Lloyds Banking Group for eleven years and led numerous transformations, including the introduction of a central production infrastructure, a comprehensive transformation of the IT infrastructure and an outsourcing program for business processes, as well as the provision of applications for Internet banking and cards and client management domains.
