Second Mountain Communications is the first Bath company to join the new Children’s Hospice South West Business Club.

The Southwest Children’s Hospice, which offers palliative, rest, end-of-life and grief assistance for life-restricted and terminally ill children and their families, has set up its CHSW Business Club to collect urgently needed money.

The 41 hospice charity aims to recruit 100 companies in 2021, each paying £ 300 to become a member, to help the charity raise £ 30,000 in its 30th anniversary year.

Founded in 2020 during the first national lockdown, Second Mountain Communications is a specialist consulting firm – and the first Bath, Somerset company to join.

It is now calling on other companies to do something for local children with life-limiting diseases and their families.

Founder Ben Veal said: “The events of the past 12 months have shown us all without question how precious life is and what is really important.

“The Children’s Hospice Southwest is a really special organization that offers children and families in the region care, friendship and support. It is therefore a privilege to be one of the first companies to join the brand new CHSW Business Club.

“By joining together as a community of like-minded businesses, we can work together to help the charity meet its £ 30,000 goal for its 30th anniversary year – an incredible milestone to celebrate.

“I am very proud to be part of this newly formed business club and to encourage others to get involved too.”
