PTG recently completed a test with Atlantic Aviation at Shannon Airport for its innovative software-controlled E-Locker solution for the aviation services sector.

Paul Sandilands, Managing Director of PTG HK Ltd, said, “We used Invest NI’s research and development support to develop our software-integrated E-Locker solution. From the beginning, our focus has been on streamlining processes and delivering efficiency to the aviation services sector. It’s an exciting time for our company as we contacted Invest NI for the first time with our concept so that we now have marketable technology. We intend to hire four new employees in the near future and have secured our first pilot installation at Atlantic Aviation to test our solution in early 2021. From helping us develop our product to helping our team grow, the support from Invest NI has been invaluable. ”

Sales of Gmooth’s garden office accommodation are increasing, partly due to Covid-19. Paul McAloon, MD of Gmooth Construction said, “We have been overwhelmed by the demand for our garden home offices and common rooms, which has been fueled by Covid-19 as employees work from home and companies try to help their employees adapt . We are incredibly grateful to Invest NI for helping us grow our business with seven new employees on our team. These new employees will help us build on the growing demand for our garden office accommodation and bring our attention back to growing our business in new markets. ”

Avrio has grown steadily over the past six months and has signed several new contracts in the Republic of Ireland. Fergal Maguire, Director of Avrio, said, “We are a consultancy providing environmental advice to a wide variety of industries. Our strategy is to achieve lower costs, improve environmental practices and brand image for customers, while reducing their environmental footprint. We started trading when the first lockdown began in March and our business has grown from strength to strength since then. At such an early stage in our development, Invest NI’s support in hiring four new team members will help us meet the growing demand for our service, grow our sales and ultimately increase exports. ”

Invest NI’s R&D support is partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the NI (Investment for Growth & Jobs) program (2014-2020).
