Samsung launches the TikTok app on its smart TVs in Europe

The new global partnership will start in the UK first. Millions of Brits can now watch TikTok exclusively on Samsung Smart TVs

Samsung Electronics Ltd. and Tick ​​tock are proud to announce a new app partnership bringing home trending content from TikTok. TikTok will be available exclusively for Samsung Smart TVs in Europe and will be launched for the first time for customers in the UK.

The electronic company's new app is specially designed for home viewing. It allows users to view the For You and Follow feeds, as well as most of the most popular and most viewed content on TikTok. This content has been broken down into 12 categories, covering everything from games and comedy to food and animals.

The entertainment doesn't stop there, however, as people can also watch #LearningOnTikTok videos for the latest cooking hacks, fitness tips, and fun facts that TikTok has to offer.

TikTok will be accessible on all Samsung Smart TV models from 2018-2020, including Samsung's award-winning 4K and 8K TVs, as well as the Smart Monitor, The Premiere, The Frame and The Serif. TikTok can be easily downloaded from the Samsung Smart TV App Store and is now pre-installed on all newly purchased Samsung TVs. In addition, content is available to everyone – regardless of whether you have a TikTok account or not.

Users can view, like and comment on trending videos, giving households the opportunity to experience and enjoy the top content on TikTok. Users can also block or flag content they are not interested in. TikTok works automatically in restricted mode. This function filters out content that may not be suitable for all target groups.
