Samm Henshaw releases new music inspired by an impromptu pet photo taken on a Samsung smartphone

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has announced a new and unique collaboration with British soul and R&B singer Samm Henshaw to launch "All Good" available for streaming Spotify now.

After the success of his US tour and to tease the start of his debut album in 2021, Samm was invited by the brand to join the Inspired by A photo platform. This resulted in him composing and recording a new song based entirely on a photo taken by a Samsung Galaxy customer and uploaded to Instagram.

The selected # withGalaxy picture – which is also the cover of the single – shows a grinning Indian-Pomeranian cross and is the inspiration for "All Good" with feel-good texts and optimistic melodies that stand for Henshaw's style.

“This has been such an exciting project, especially in the last few months when people’s creativity has undoubtedly been questioned. The first time I saw the photo, it made me smile and feel happy immediately, so I knew I had to bring the same energy into All Good, ”said Samm Henshaw.

"The fact that it's just a photo taken with a Samsung phone without knowing how or why and taking it at the start of my creative journey is an experience I've never had before "I'm so grateful to Samsung for this opportunity that it opened me up to new ways of songwriting and definitely something I would explore with future material."

Alongside the title is the official music video "All Good," which was released on December 9th, a fun and futuristic mini-film in which Samm explores an unconstrained, alternate reality. Inspired by the vivid colors of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (which launched earlier this year), the video brings an explosion of chaos to the screens and playfully shows how a dreary office environment can be transformed into a daydreamer's paradise with the power of music can transform.

Samm's photo-inspired track is the second project from Samsung's platform "Inspired by a True Photo" that is based on a simple mechanism. Capture a single #withGalaxy user-generated image captured on a Samsung device and make it the focus and inspiration for a creative journey.

Samsung tracked down photographer Ayush Luther to find out the story behind the smiling dog picture. The star of the shot is his dog Bunny, an adorable Indian-Pomeranian cross. Ayush excitingly saw him run up the stairs of her house on a sunny evening earlier this year. Immediately he noticed that the beautiful sunset was falling behind him so he didn't waste time spending this special moment with his favorite furry friend.

“I've been a Samsung customer for a while and the dynamic camera always encourages me to capture unexplored beauty. When I saw Bunny looking so happy and carefree, I knew I had to take his picture. When I look back on this shot, it always gives me such positive energy and puts a big smile on my face. I can't believe my dog ​​and a picture on my phone inspired an entire song and music video.
