Do not trash your Domino’s pizza packing containers! Here is easy methods to recycle them

The website is a source of information on how to recycle pizza boxes, including instructions on how to recycle cardboard boxes and instructions on what to do if the customer community does not accept pizza boxes for recycling.
Recycle even if there is fat and cheese
Contrary to popular belief, pizza boxes are recyclable, even if they contain some fat. To avoid confusion and encourage Americans to recycle their boxes, WestRock conducted a research study that assessed the effects of typical amounts of fat and residual cheese.
The study was reviewed by member companies of the American Forest & Paper Association. It was concluded that the presence of typical amounts of fat and residual cheese did not affect the quality of the finished corrugated product containing the expected amounts of recovered fibers.
"Since almost everything that leaves a domino store remains in a corrugated box, we know that we have the ability to make a difference in packaging and recycling," he said Tim McIntyre, The company's executive vice president of communications.

According to an access study for resource recycling systems commissioned by WestRock in autumn 2019, an estimated 73% of the U.S. population has pizza box recycling programs.
While 27% of the population are served by programs that explicitly accept cartons, 46% of the population have access to programs that imply but do not explicitly say that they accept pizza boxes. The rest are either unclear or say that they cannot take pizza boxes.
The company and WestRock are both members of The recycling partnership – a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to and quality of recycling. Domino, WestRock and a second carton supplier have partnered to fund municipal development materials through The Recycling Partnership to update their recycling programs and include these cartons.

40% to 72% recyclable content in their boxes
Together with WestRock at the beginning of 2020, Domino increased the percentage of recycling in its boxes from 40% to 72%. The company recognizes the importance of not only recycling and using recycled content, but also planting trees.
