WiSA Wave Marketing Program Continues to Drive and Grow Consumer Traffic to WiSA and Member Websites

SAN JOSE, California –BUSINESS WIRE) – WiSA® LLC, founded by Summit Wireless Technologies (NASDAQ: WISA), today announced strong, sustained website traffic and category awareness through the WiSA Wave Marketing program. Launched on September 1, 2020, the program creates specific digital marketing resources and campaigns, and provides association members with access to WiSA’s analysis and growing consumer database. WiSA predicts that website traffic will reach 1 million visitors in 2021.

WiSA Wave saw significant web traffic growth from quarter to quarter and year to year.

  • Nearly 140,000 visitors were directed to websites for WiSA or brands and retailers in the first quarter of 2021, up from over 34,000 in the first quarter of 2020, an increase of 234%.

  • In the first quarter of 2021, nearly 18% of all WiSA website visitors continued their journey to a member or retailer’s website to learn more about or purchase a WiSA Certified ™ product.

  • Even if WiSA Wave exposes a large number of new entrants to the category, organic, direct, and referral traffic remains strong in the 18% to 21% range, reinforcing the growing awareness of WiSA.

More than 20 association members, including LG, Hisense, Bang & Olufsen, Skyworth, Harman Kardon, Klipsch, Onkyo, System Audio, Buchardt, Savant, Primare, Enclave Audio, Axiim, EC Living, Almando and Platin Audio, supply WiSA from Ready- and WiSA certified products this year. The association is advancing the interoperability standard of multiple brands and product categories, including televisions, transmitters and speakers, to leverage the rich features of WiSA-certified products and develop ideal systems for multiple price ranges.
