Technique consultancy EY Port Jackson Companions hires new companions

Kym Peake, Chris Paxton, Paul Boulus and Miles Tam

EY’s strategy consulting subsidiary, EY Port Jackson Partners, has strengthened its management team with four new partners.

Kym Peake has been named a Public Practice Partner of EY Port Jackson Partners with a focus on federal government. She brings more than a decade to the company in the public sector, most recently as Secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria.

Early in her career, she was an assistant secretary in the Victorian Ministry for Prime Ministers and Cabinet and the former Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development, and briefly served in KPMG’s advisory department.

Chris Paxton has more than 20 years of experience in strategy and management consulting in the areas of corporate and division strategy, acquisitions, integration and performance improvement. He currently heads the retail and consumer practice for Strategy & and is a member of PwC’s Deals practice. Early in his career he worked for strategic boutiques such as Pacific Strategy Partners, Crescendo Partners and Kearney.

At EY Port Jackson Partners, Paxton will focus on retail and consumer engagements as well as the company’s commercial due diligence offering. His achievements include providing over 200 buy-and-sell-side engagements to local and international private equity clients.

Paul Boulus After two years as Executive Director at the wireless infrastructure company Stilmark Group, he returned to EY Port Jackson Partners as a partner. After starting his career in the government sector, Boulus previously worked for EY Port Jackson Partners for five years.

His experience includes delivering growth, supply chain, price and portfolio optimization projects to private and private equity clients in a variety of sectors including logistics, mining, consumer goods and heavy industry.

Miles Tam has worked in consulting throughout his career. He joined PwC in 2009 after working for Accenture and the Australian boutique Mainsheet (management consultancy). He has worked for the firm’s strategy and deals practices for the past decade and recently joined Strategy & (which was formed after PwC acquired Booz & Company).

Tam specializes in corporate and division strategies for ASX 250 companies and commercial due diligence for private equity firms, with a focus on clients in the consumer goods, logistics, mining, manufacturing, telecommunications, aerospace and pharmaceutical sectors.
