Small enterprise house owners safe bounce again funding

Small business owners secure bounce-back funding

A group of black business owners received grants from a program to help African and Caribbean communities in Birmingham.

The entrepreneurs proposed a £ 30,000 share of bounce-back funding.

The Bounce Back program was provided by the First Class Foundation and She’s the Boss management consultancy on behalf of the Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC).

Funding was given in equal shares to 14 of the 26 small businesses that applied, each of which will benefit from more than £ 2,000.

Vanessa Kelly, Managing Director of 2 Much Passion, applied for the fund to help her grocery store in Africa and the Caribbean change direction and expand its digital presence.

She said, “The project was inspiring and exactly what small businesses need to get the support they need.

“We will use the funds to develop online cooking classes that will enable us to grow our business.”

Nathan Dennis, Co-Founder of the First Class Foundation, added, “We have been able to better understand the problems many of our local businesses are facing and provide them with expertise and peer support.

“We are also impressed with the openness of the participants, the breadth of activities and services they offer, and most importantly, their commitment to the communities they seek to serve.”
