Big question about mental health

Broker Marsh has promoted Alex Guerin to office manager for his UK corporate business in London.

In his new role, Guerin will lead Marsh’s London-based corporate business team, which is responsible for advising clients on risk positions, developing solutions to improve their operational resilience and helping clients mitigate risk.

The team represents companies from all sectors of the city, including financial services, banking, retail and hospitality.

Guerin reports to Andrew Wilton, the UK company’s South Region Managing Director.

Wilton said: “Across the UK, businesses are facing increasing challenges in areas such as cyber, sustainability and health and safety. With a wealth of practical customer experience, Alex brings a lot of practical risk and insurance knowledge to this leadership role. “

Achieve career potential

Guerin joined the broker in 2012 as part of Marsh’s graduate program. Most recently, he was a Client Executive in UK Risk Management, serving a wide range of FTSE clients.

In 2015 Biba named Guerin National Young Broker of the Year.

Wilton added, “As we continue to recruit more graduates, Alex’s appointment demonstrates the variety of opportunities colleagues across the company offer to unlock their career potential at Marsh.”

Guerin said: “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with a great team of colleagues in our London office to meet the changing needs of customers.

“I look forward to expanding our commitment to the companies we serve and to supporting and advising them on the most important risk challenges.”

Marsh is an insurance broker and risk advisor with approximately 40,000 colleagues operating in more than 130 countries. It is part of Marsh McLennan, which has annual sales of over $ 17 billion.

The two-year graduate program aims to recruit candidates in four main areas: placement, client management, projects and client advising.
