Mace opens new workplace within the coronary heart of Manchester’s central enterprise district

After more than 20 years in Manchester, Mace, the international consulting and construction company, has reaffirmed its commitment to the city’s recovery from COVID by moving into new office space at 42 Fountain Street in the heart of the central business district.

Over the past two decades, Mace has carried out some of Manchester’s most iconic projects in the city, from redesigning the city center after the 1996 bombing, the 2002 Commonwealth Games, new schools, university and health buildings, to today’s restoration of the iconic City Hall from Manchester.

Jason Millett, CEO of Consulting at Mace, said: “The new offices for Mace in the city center are an important and strategic step for us to realize our ambitions of the business strategy 2026.

“We have worked with clients across the region for over 20 years and we continue to work to help decentralize and level government agendas as we do our part in helping the UK recover from COVID.”

Matt Pickersgill, Associate Director at Avison Young, said, “Because Mace works in the real estate industry, he is extremely demanding in terms of office equipment and has an eye for detail.

“The pre-completion rental of the space is a testament to the quality of design and finishes 42 Fountain Street has to offer, and we expect a lot of interest in the months to come after the building is completed this week.”
