Legends League Cricket ropes in Avishek Mazumdar as vice chairman, enterprise operations

Legends League Cricket (LLC) has signed Avishek Mazumdar as vice president of business operations. The global league, where ex-cricketers will play competitive cricket, is considering turning into a professional sporting event in the country, and the appointment is consistent with that goal, a statement said in a statement. Mazumdar has immense experience and knowledge in a variety of sectors, said Raman Raheja, co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket.
“We are confident that his experience and understanding will add value and strength to the entire team. With proven results in all sectors, we expect him to deliver world class cricket experience to the audience through the league. We look forward to a great and fruitful long-term relationship, ”added Raheja.
Mazumdar brings over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries including sports, business consulting, road safety, BPO / ITeS, hospitality, medicine, education, retail and real estate. Prior to joining LLC, he served as the CEO of the Society for Educational Reform and Economic Development (SEED).
“While many different cricket formats are being experimented with these days to add variety to cricket, I am very confident that the Legends cricket format will have a massive impact on audiences. The game is supposed to bring in the old memories of cricket legends in a new avatar, the mixture of old charm in a new form will have an enormous reach with the audience. The role is very exciting and challenging at the same time. I look forward to strengthening the business and taking Legends League cricket to global heights, ”said Mazumdar.
LLC’s first season is slated to take place in early March 2022. The league will have former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and England, among others.
