Formidable native teenager lands function with main consultancy agency Quensh

Ambitious local teenager lands role with leading consultancy firm Quensh

An ambitious 18-year-old got a role at a leading northeastern consulting firm after self-funding her studies.

Lauren Diver was hired as an aspiring HSEQ coordinator at the consulting firm Quensh after she financed herself to achieve an industry-recognized qualification.

Lauren, who is from Keith, dropped out of school in 2019 and completed a year of study to earn the NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Certification is an ideal starting point for those looking to embark on a career in health and safety management.

A graduate of Gordon Schools, Huntly, Lauren embarked on a career in health and safety. Her determination paid off when she took on the trainee role.

Lauren said, “I am excited to be joining the next generation of health and safety professionals.

“It is very exciting for me to have my first professional job since leaving school and I am very grateful for this opportunity to develop my career.

“I am very much looking forward to putting everything I have learned into practice and gaining valuable professional training and skills to enhance my future career at Quensh.”

Based in Ellon and Perth, Western Australia, Quensh currently provides HSEQ support to over 50 customers worldwide.

The consultancy supports the ongoing North East Now initiative run by the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and supported by the creative agency Hampton and Aberdeen Journals.

The initiative aims to enable people to learn more about local businesses operating during the pandemic and bring together a range of information, directories and blogs to create a one-stop online resource.

The hub makes it easier for people to support local businesses from a wide variety of industries, including food, beverage, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and more.

Quensh is a local company that helps customers meet their health and safety responsibilities.

Managing Director Andy James said Lauren’s appointment was in line with the company’s commitment to “investing in the workforce of the future.”

“Quensh is dedicated to developing talent and we are excited to have Lauren join the team,” added James.

“Your appointment is a testament to how much she has worked for her own professional development.

“We are excited to offer young graduates the opportunity to embark on careers in health and safety while we continue to focus on developing the HSEQ leaders of the future.”

As part of his commitment to supporting young talent, Quensh is exploring industry-wide opportunities for Lauren to advance her professional development and connect with like-minded young professionals.
