Dutch horticulture consultancy hires new director

Today VEK announces that Reinier Donkersloot has been appointed Director of Business Consultancy in its team of horticultural experts. VEK has an increasing number of projects, which leads to a need for additional capacity and knowledge in the area of business and economic aspects. This is also the result of the cooperation between VEK and the members of Atrium Agri.

“We are seeing that the market is changing and that customer questions are no longer just related to the construction and processes of greenhouses, but that financial structures and the introduction of new technologies are more often part of our consulting projects. With this in mind, we’ve decided to hire additional expertise and we’re excited to have Reinier on our team. We hope this will lead to new business opportunities and further growth of our business, says Willem Nat (Managing Director VEK Adviesgroep).

Reinier has extensive experience and has worked in vertical indoor farming for the past 8 years (Philips Lighting and as an independent consultant). Reinier will also actively promote VEK’s activities in this new horticultural segment.

Reinier will also take on a commercial role to position VEK and acquire new projects for VEK Adviesgroep.
