MHR is working with Equinix to provide data centers and create technical and customer-centric jobs in Leinster.

MHR International Group, a global software and consulting firm specializing in HR, salary, employee, learning, analytics and AI services, is expanding its Irish operations.

MHR announced that it will invest EUR 1.5 million in Ireland, including a large stake in data centers in Blanchardstown and Clondalkin with digital infrastructure company Equinix.

Privately owned MHR stores data for approximately 2 million employees and 1,200 organizations in Ireland and the UK. This investment in a data center would help strengthen customer data security commitments and reduce the risk of cybercrime.

The company will also create a number of new jobs in Maynooth and the greater Dublin and Kildare areas. The company has six recruitment streams on its website; Sales, HR, engineering, consulting, marketing and managed services. The new positions in Ireland will be senior technical and customer centric positions.

Trade Promotion, Digital and Business Regulation Minister Robert Troy, TD, said the investment was “an encouraging indicator of MHR’s commitment to Ireland and an affirmation of our national skill and competence base in digitizing business worldwide”.

“Ireland is the second largest exporter of computer and IT services in the world. As an open economy with a highly creative and talented workforce, there is no better place in the world today for companies focused on digital services.”

Troy added that there is currently a lot of uncertainty for companies and employees between Brexit and Covid-19.

“But once the pandemic has secured something, companies will increasingly look to reliable and secure digital solutions to manage their HR functions, payroll, people management and other key strategic functions,” he said. “The future of work – be it remote or in the office – is controlled by digital solutions.”

Eamon Rheinisch, general manager at MHR Ireland, said the company’s move will help keep data secure. “Other services on the market often use global hosting services that are mirrored or secured in just one data center or other jurisdictions outside the EU,” said Rheinisch.

“This new data center deployment gives customers confidence and security in terms of best practice security and privacy. This eliminates a major operational risk that can seriously affect relationships with employees, customers, boards of directors, ministers or the regulator or result in large fines. “
