Coming Collectively to Perceive the Future Prospects of Digital Advertising and marketing

Coming Together to Understand the Future Prospects of Digital Marketing

On Saturday morning mentors Vijay Lamba and Ankita Mishra held a fun student get-together to show them the “fun” side of being a digital marketer – all that networking! The hour and a half interactive session also boosted morale and renewed energy for all of the students present.

Digital Ready has trained students in digital marketing for over six years and has successfully taught over four thousand over the years. The curriculum, put together by the leading professionals in the field, caters to a wide range of people so anyone who enrolls can get the most of it.

Back to the meetup, it was full of joy and laughter and some time delays (zoom meetings for the win) but it was the highlight of the week for the Digital Ready team. We live in pretty dark times and it is things like this that help uplift people’s spirits and give them new energy.

The route of the meetup on Saturday

We’ll be giving a step-by-step look into what really happened in the fun meetup hosted by Digital Ready mentors Ankita and Vijay.

School intros

To begin with, students currently being tutored by our talented mentors – Ankita Mishra, Bela Narayandas, Chiranjeevi Maddala (chief mentor) and Vijay Lamba – introduced themselves and talked about their journey so far. Since it was a student meeting, they got to know each other better.

Vandana, one of the students, explained how she understood the importance of digital marketing in the current market scenario. She also talked about how the practical knowledge the institute gives her proves to be extremely helpful and how she gains confidence in her ability to find a job.

Manish, a graduate engineer, has shown an interest in digital marketing and this has led him to improve at Digital Ready. So that he can work on developing these skills. Abdul, a graduate student, gave his brief introduction along with others like Vineet, Abdullah, and others.

Prashanti, an expert with six years of experience in a customer support position, wanted to change her field and pursue something different and this led her to digital marketing and ultimately to digital ready.

All students came out of their shells quickly, albeit a little hesitantly at first, after the initial introductions were over. They even talked about how the mentors’ teaching methods make the subject easier for them and even help them develop a newfound interest in entrepreneurship and business.

Team intros

Not only students and hosts, but also our other team members attended the meetup. Rashica Chakravorty was presented to the students by the hosts with great aplomb, and rightly so, thanks to her great design skills. The face behind Digital Ready’s social media posts, she did a great job.

Next up was Bela, another excellent trainer from the institute who works tirelessly to keep no doubt in the minds of the students she teaches and has recently started teaching a new group in Ghana, Africa. Thanks to the wonders of technology.

Guest speaker

Two ex-students of the institute, Shashank and Komal, who are now actively working as digital marketers, also took part in the Zoom call to share their experiences not only with Digital Ready, but also about what is happening in the industry.

Komal
After a ten year hiatus from her professional career because she got married and wanted to focus on her family, Komal decided to start her career again. She was extremely intrigued by the whole concept of social media and that drove her to go to Digital Ready as she wanted to understand it better and find opportunities in the field.

She confessed that in her first few days she had no idea about the basic functions of laptops. In the beginning she missed a lot, because what was easy or everyday for others was a challenge for her. But thanks to the patience of her mentors, she was slowly catching up,

After two months of rigorous training, she came out as a proud digital marketer. She even praised Ali Sir’s tenacious demeanor as he was the one making sure that every single student who successfully completed the course got a job and was happy.

She is currently working with a good agency and is happy with her work and attributes it all to Digital Ready and the wonderful team that make it what it is.

Schashank
Shashank worked as an Ad Operations Executive at MediaMint, where he was placed thanks to the institute, as an Associate Analyst before making the decision to move to Digital Ready. His work was mainly focused on research and had nothing to do with programming as such.

He realized that none of his skills were being used and he wasn’t even able to improve his existing skills like communication skills etc. He got into a lot of different things like creating memes and even attended a couple of webinars exploring different things, and that’s where he came across Digital Ready.

What fascinated him about the institute was the course structure modeled on Chiranjeevi Sir. For him, it was the true definition of digital marketing as it encompassed not only the various concepts that made up the subject, but also encompassed its practical applications.

He explained how the internship portion of the course helped him do something outside of his comfort zone and work hard to achieve his goal – get a job. Right now his job revolves around Google Ads, which he has been taught so well by the mentors, and he thanked everyone for their support, great insights, and patience.

Already the mediation process taught him a lot as Ali Sir, our team member who oversees the mediations, gave him continuous feedback on his communication and interviewing skills and he got better and better with every session he had with him.

Fastest fingers first

After all these cool testimonials and jokes and friendly banter, the mentors put on a fun quiz session and the topic was of course digital marketing. It was very well received by the various participants, students and winners.

After this amazing quiz session the whole group came together and after a lot of trial and error lots of pictures were taken and with that happy note it was a conclusion!
