Atos Acquires Big Data Consultancy DataSentics

Global IT consulting firm Atos has acquired DataSentics, a Czech Republic-based data science company specializing in developing business solutions and products for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI / ML). The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

DataSentics was founded in 2016 and employs around 10 AI / ML data scientists and engineers. The company supports large companies in Central and Western Europe. The major industries served include financial services, retail and media, the seller said.

Atos is a global solution provider with a focus on digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud and high performance computing. Atos has 107,000 employees and an annual turnover of over 11 billion euros.

Atos, armed with DataSentics, will build a global AI / ML “factory” to provide solutions for enterprise customers in all industries, the buyer said.
