Air New Zealand sees 90% restoration in home enterprise journey | Information

Air New Zealand A321neo

Air New Zealand airline has reported that domestic business and corporate travel is returning to 90% of pre-Covid-19 levels, according to the latest figures.

“Our initial hopes were a return to 70% next year. In order to bounce back to near normal levels, the strength of our domestic network and the desire of Kiwis to reconnect in person will quickly be strengthened,” said Leanne Geraghty , Chief Customer and Sales Officer of the airline states.

This contradicts global trends, the airline says, adding, “In many places around the world, such as the US, business travel accounts for only about 15% of domestic travel.”

Geraghty says that in response to increased demand, Air New Zealand added seating, timed flights, and hired more crew.

“We have planned a schedule that enables business travel through increased frequency and connectivity, and we are regularly reviewing options for expanding capacity, e.g. B. the use of our larger Airbus A321 aircraft on heavily booked flights.

“We’ve also reduced our premium fares, which means customers who book at short notice can pay up to NZ $ 100 ($ 70) less per seat.”
