The right way to Create a Retro Superhero Comedian Textual content Impact in Illustrator
In today’s Adobe Illustrator tutorial, I’m going to walk you through the process of creating a retro text effect inspired by the title art for the Superman comics. Old comic book titles featured some really simple but effective text styles, often with faux-3D effects, bright colors, and thick black outlines. It’s a graphic style that’s instantly recognizable thanks to these common visual features that appear in different variations in all superhero stories. The original comic book covers were hand drawn, but I’ll show you how to make some adjustments to your text in Illustrator to turn it into a fat comic book title effect, and then stick around until the end to see how that Comic theme is enhanced with the help of my Photoshop Bad Print Effects action.
