PUMA collaborates with Mr Doodle for its newest summer season assortment
PUMA's collaboration with Mr Doodle offers a young, lively, playful collection with hidden messages and details throughout the design
Global sports company PUMA and Mr Doodle have teamed up to create one of the most vibrant and playful collections of shoes, clothing and accessories this summer.
PUMA enters Mr Doodle's universe to explore together. PUMA logos and graphics take up the hand-drawn Doodle style, while Mr Doodle brings his characters to explore the world of sports.
The result is a young, lively, playful collection with hidden messages and details throughout the design. This collaboration includes unisex shoes, clothing and accessories in predominantly black and white pieces with hints of orange, purple and lavender.
Sam Cox, an English artist better known as Mr Doodle, discovered his love for scribbling and scribbling at an early age. What started out as common childhood scribbles from school books to his parents' furniture has since grown into not just a successful career, but an entirely new universe called DoodleWorld. His scribbling is often referred to as “graffiti spaghetti” because his figures and patterns look like they're about to explode from the canvas.
"If doodling was a sport, I would probably have enjoyed exercise in school," said Doodle. "I'm interested in the parallels between exercise and doodling. It's all about energy. I think you can feel that sense of movement when you see doodles." There's a link between doodling and exercise. "
The Sky LX Low, the RS-2K, the Cali Wedge, the Leadcat 20 and the Mile Rider get a playful look for the PUMA X MrDoodle collection. The RS-2K X MrDoodle features embellishments like asymmetrical lacing, doodles on the midsole and a doodle arrow under the laces. The Mile Rider X Mr Doodle has a sporty mesh upper with colorful overlays and doodle graphics on the midsole.
The clothing in the collection includes a wide range of clothing for men and women. The PUMA x MrDoodle Reversible Coach Jacket is one of the most unique pieces in the collection. It can be worn as a simple black jacket with small scribble decorations or, conversely, into a statement piece with an all-over print of sporty-inspired doodles.
Add a touch of doodle to any look with the accessories from the collection. The PUMA x Mr.Doodle Shopper is made of a semi-transparent material with a doodle print on the entire front and doodle accents on the shoulder straps of the webbing. It includes a large zip opening in the main compartment with an internal hanging zip pocket for storing smaller items.
