Fb initiatives in supporting the Black and numerous communities

The past few weeks have forced Facebook facing the reality of violence and injustice that members of the black community face daily. Although the social media company has supported its friends, colleagues and communities. Facebook believes it needs to take action too.
The social media company focuses on building powerful tools and resources. They are taking steps to improve their products, programs and policies. They have put together ideas from different groups of their employees in different teams on how the company can better deal with racial injustices.
Building on previous investments, Facebook is providing an additional $ 200 million / £ 161 million to support black-owned businesses and organizations. This commitment is part of a broader investment of $ 1.1 billion / £ 885.8 million in Black and various suppliers and communities in the United States. Facebook is also creating a new area in the Facebook app called Lift Black Voices and building a more diverse and inclusive workforce to better serve communities around the world.
Since the pandemic began, Facebook has been listening to small businesses and trying to do everything they can to help them weather the storm, including direct financial assistance through their US $ 40 million / £ 32.2 million grant program . Facebook creates a new area called Lift Black Voices in its app to highlight black stories, share educational resources, and inspire people to take action through racist justice fundraisers. Instagram search shows accounts on Facebook to help people take action for racial justice. Facebook is committed to having 50% of its workforce from underrepresented communities by the end of 2023, and is working to double the number of Black and Latinx employees in the same period. The company will also continue its ongoing efforts to increase the representation of women in leadership positions.
